Gold for oil. US citizens weren't allowed to own gold in 1947, but the U.S. Mint was busy striking gold discs in the weight and purity of British pounds for the Saudis so ARAMCO could keep extracting oil there. Get one while you still can. Most collectors of US coins don't know about these because they usually appear in "world" coin auctions, not US coin auctions.
