This is a tough date in this series.  There are only three of this date graded at NGC so far, all tied for top pop, including this coin and another one in my own collection.  The mintage this year was just 1,045.  
 
This is the last year of the type, which was struck looking like this since 1986.
 
It is 0.1104 troy ounces actual gold weight.  The coin is 3.4940 grams gross
 
By 2016 the gold price performance was looking really bleak.  After all time highs around $1,911 in August of 2011, the price was trending down for five years with no turn in site.  Gold closed 2016 at just $1,151 !
